If you’re the proud owner of an LLC, Corporation, or anything under those categories then you’ll want to look at our Corporate Renewal Brief below.
For starters, the due date for corporate renewals is May 1st, 2018. The State of Florida requires that your company update the following:
- Directors / Managers
- Addresses
- Registered Agent(s)
After you’ve updated anything that applies, you must also pay your annual state fee for your company. It’s important to note that it is good corporate governance to have an annual meeting of the owners and to keep minutes for your company books (please note that this is mandatory for corporations and highly recommended for LLC’s).
Failure to keep your records in order, annual meeting minutes, and the annual report and fees, can open up the owners to liabilities on company debt.
