Albert Sabater

Albert Sabater is a Senior Litigation Associate specializing in Federal Court Practice.

Albert is an experienced litigator with a focus on complex, high-stakes disputes, including anti-trust class actions, business litigation, trade secret misappropriation, and real property disputes. Involved in all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, Albert has extensive experience managing cases which includes nearly a decade as a Litigation Paralegal with a national AM Law 200 law firm. Prior to joining EPGD Law, Albert as an associate for Freedman Normand Friedland, a renowned boutique litigation firm, played a crucial role in the prominent antitrust class action lawsuits in the U.S., Henry et. al. v. Brown University et. al. Also referred to as the “568 Cartel lawsuit”, the litigation alleges that 17 elite, private universities have been colluding for years in a financial aid price-fixing conspiracy. The court has already given final approval to $284 million in settlements from 10 defendants and preliminary approval to $35.25 million in settlements from 2 more defendants, for a total of $319.25 million.

​During law school, Albert was a law clerk at the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida where he participated in several jury trials, including a conviction under 18 U.S.C. § 1951 Hobbs Act functioning as a “third chair” in a high-profile five-day jury trial presided over by the Honorable Judge Scola.

Education:

A “Double-Gator”, Albert received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida and earned his B.A., in Criminology from the University of Florida, where he graduated cum laude. While at UF Levin College of Law, Albert was an Editor on the Florida Journal of International Law and member of the Dean’s List.
