Experience and Representative matters
- Led negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements, including software licensing agreements, distribution agreements, and strategic partnership agreements, resulting in favorable terms and successful business relationships for various corporate clients.
- Successfully negotiated joint venture agreements and strategic alliances to support business expansion initiatives and enhance market presence for corporate clients.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on corporate transactions, intellectual property matters, and employment law issues.
- Managed the legal aspects of corporate restructuring, including mergers, spin-offs, and coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives while minimizing legal risks.
- Led team to win a motion to dismiss federal court trademark litigation against famous Mexican artist heirs over the heirs’ brand, ending U.S. portion of a decade-long international dispute.
- Won temporary injunction on behalf of startup company against capital investors who violated NDA by attempting to steal client’s business idea and solicit vendors. Defendants were enjoined from soliciting the client’s vendors and suppliers, competing with the client for one year, and being ordered to pay attorney fees.
- Successfully defended motion for temporary injunction at evidentiary hearing on behalf of former employee sued by employer for alleged violation of non-compete and non-solicitation agreement.
- Vacated discovery application under section 1872 in the federal court based on lack of both subject matter and personal jurisdiction.
