She was born and raised in Miami, Florida, but is of Nicaraguan descent. Throughout her high school career, in the summers she would work for the City of Miami in NET Administration. During her time working there, she volunteered in neighborhood cleanups all over Miami, and Farm Share events providing food to families in need. Nia graduated high school in 2020, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and decided to take a gap year to then pursue a certification in Medical Assistant. After some time, Nia decided to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice in hopes to be a lawyer and make a difference one day.
In her free time, Nia enjoys spending time with her daughter, choreographing and working quinceañera events with her best friend, as well as going to the gym.
